“Working in consultation with SALTO we have provided a highly secure and flexible access control system to meet all of the needs of the resort. Access is currently controlled to 85 bedroom doors in the main hotel and to 25 external lodges. The advanced system design incorporates proximity Mifare operation, anti-vandal protection and each lock can support up to 64,000 users.”
“To have done this with fully on line doors as part of a fully hard wired solution would have been prohibitively expensive, but with the architect and client opting to use our stand alone locks which ensure the highest levels of security, they will achieve 90% of the benefits of a fully on line access control system for just the cost of a standalone solution” Gorey continues.
“Hotel security was an important part of this project from the outset” says Patricia Donohoe of Lough Erne Golf Resort. “We needed an efficient, easy to use system that is flexible enough to grow to meet our future security requirements and that’s exactly what we’ve got with our SALTO access control solution. It gives us the ability to cancel key cards from the system when guests leave, loose or do not return them and this enables us to maintain high levels of security ensuring a secure and accessible environment for both guests and staff alike.” More here..Originally from : http://www.sourcesecurity.com/news/articles/co-3322-ga.11108.html
A stand alone solution was chosen for the majority of the door entry systems at the resort. Timegenius can provide stand alone solutions, but the majority of customers opt for the online software driven networked solution as all our access control systems hardware is networkable by default.
